Red Soft Corporation is named a winner of the open tender "The development and modernization of software for FSOJ of Russia at the federal and regional levels". The solution will be developed based on the company's technology stack:

Red Database - Open Source DBMS based on Firebirdwith built-in data security mechanisms and other new features
Red Replicator - the tool for Extraction, guarantied Transport delivery, Transformation and Loading of data (ETTL). The tool also includes capabilities for managing database clusters and refreshing materialized views
Red Olap Navigator - the Open Source toolkit providing UI front-end for data warehouse users

Red Soft Corporation releases Red Database DBMS GNU/Linux versions for Itanium

Red Soft Corporation announces immediate availability GNU/Linux versions of Red Database 2.0 and Red Database 2.1 for Itanium.
Red Database 2.0 is built and tested on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Update 1 (Tikanga). Red Database 2.1 is built and tested on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 Update 6 (Nahant).

Roman Simakov joins SciDB project

Beginning February 1, 2009 Roman Simakov, Ph.D. joins SciDB project and will participate in development of world largest data warehouses for scientific purposes. Roman is the scientific director of Red Soft laboratory in Murom, and also teaches DBMS course at Murom Institute of Vladimir State University. Red Soft is the vendor of data warehousing solutions for banks and government organizations. We hope that scientific experience acquired by Roman when working on SciDB project will be applied in the future Red Soft products.
